We have come to know Amy by reading her journal and studying the artwork that she created in it. Amy Zoe Mason was a wife and mother who lived in Houston, Texas. The late Amy Zoe Mason was married to Robert Mason and had two children, Susan and Alex. She died a few years ago, at the age of thirty-four. Her obituary can be found here. We recently discovered that Amy's daughter, Susan, has created a memorial website for Amy. It is very sad that she lost her mother at such a young age and she has a lot of anger. Update: We were just informed that Amy's daughter, Susan, is on MySpace. To understand more about Amy's life, we felt compelled to visit the places that Amy mentioned in her journal. We didn't know what we were looking for, perhaps just a feeling of connection. One of the first places that we visited was the Dessert Gallery. It was mentioned several times in her journal, and was obviously a place of happy memories for Amy and her family.We also visited other places that appeared in Amy's journal, placess that she seemed happy: River Oaks Bookstore, The Museum of Fine Arts Houston and Bayou Bend. We explored the River Oaks neighborhood of Houston, where Amy had lived. We are trying to find out as much as we can about Amy and her life. |
